1.  Ball is inside the 8 meter arc?

Answer – The player with the ball moves to the closest hash on the 8 meter arc.  This could be a hanging hash. The player who committed the foul goes 4m behind the ball. Clear the Penalty Zone. Whistle start.

2. Ball is between the 8 and 12 meter arcs (the race track)?

Answer – The player with the ball moves to the closest spot on the 12 meter arc.  The player who committed the foul goes 4m behind the ball.  Clear the shooting lane. Whistle start.

3. Ball is inside the CSA below the goal line extended?

Answer – The player with the ball moves to the dot.  The player who committed the foul goes 4m behind the ball. Whistle start.

4. Ball is outside the 12 meter arc OR outside the CSA below the goal line extended?

Answer – The player who committed the foul goes 4 meters behind the player with the ball.

Goal Circle Fouls – ANSWERS

1:  Goal circle fouls by defensive player (FIELD PLAYER): What’s the restart when a defensive player runs through the goal circle or steps on the line?

Answer: Ball goes to the dot.  Offender goes 4 m behind the dot.  Whistle start because ball is in CSA

2:  Goal circle fouls by goalie or deputy: Goalkeeper/deputy steps over the goal circle line (grounded), scoops up the ball, and steps back into the circle. How do you set up the restart?

Answer: Ball goes to the Dot.  No one goes behind because the goalie committed the foul.  Whistle start because ball is in CSA

3:  Goal circle fouls by attack: Reaching into the goal circle to prevent the goalie or deputy from passing to a teammate. How is play restarted?

Answer: Player who committed the foul goes 4 behind the goal circle.  Goalie or deputy gets the ball. Whistle start because ball is in CSA
