Here is a CHECKLIST that every Official needs to complete prior to receiving game assignments from the NCWLUA

OFFICIAL’s CHECKLIST – (most forms/links are available on the NCWLUA website)

  1. Pay Annual NCWLUA DuesPay Dues
  2. 2026 NCWLUA Independent Contractor Form – Complete and return this year’s form to NCWLUA
  3. Annual Clinic – All officials are required to attend and participate in the NCWLUA Annual Clinic
  4. Training – Participate in all training sponsored by the NCWLUA including field training, scrimmages, On-Field Training Day, online training, etc.
  5. Join US Lacrosse – Officials are required to be members of USL – USL website
  6. USL Annual Training – Take the annual online training program provided by USL (on USL website)
  7. Pass USL Annual Rules Exam – Available with your membership on USL website
  8. Background Check – Available at no charge on USL website
  9. NFHS Concussion Course – here’s a link to the course – Concussion Course
  10. Update Arbiter with your availability – keep Arbiter updated continually with availability. Accept assignments daily! For more information, check out these Arbiter resources

The requirements above provide for certification as a USL Official and are designed to meet the requirements of California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) schools regardless of Section (NCS, CCS, SJC etc).
