TRAINING Step by Step

All officials must complete the following steps to officiate for the upcoming season.

The Online Course is available online through US Lacrosse as part of your membership.  To access the course:

1. Login to US Lacrosse
2. Click on E-LEARNING in black band across center of page.
3. Then click on CATALOG.  2-Officials.  3-Womens Game Officials. Rules Courses and Rules Webinars and finally click on the $0.00 in the cart at the bottom to start the Girls’ Lacrosse Rules Online Course (Here is a link to a hard copy of the 2023 HS Girls HS Rules Exam.Hard copy.docx for study prior to completing online)

This course is self-paced. It can also be accessed through your ARBITER account under USLacrosse Central Hub/ Women’s Officials/Online Courses.

(3) Clinic/Training

All officials are required to complete a minimum of a  full day classroom training OR two evenings (depending on what is offered in your area), a rules interpretation clinic, a half day on the field.  Juniors do not need to attend a rules interpretation clinic.

All Officials must:

• Attend  the annual training/clinic as required by the NCWLUA
• Attend assigned scrimmages or play days for on field training
• Attend other training sessions made available through the NCWLUA

All officials must print, sign, return the 2023 NCWLUA_Independent Contractor_form
All officials should read and understand the CONFLICT of INTEREST POLICY

The requirements above provide for certification as a USL Officials and are designed to meet the requirements of California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) schools regardless of Section (NCS, CCS, SJC etc).
